About Leon

MPS_5802.jpg

It all started in a little house on Moore Avenue in Englerston.

Leon Edward Lundy was born in Nassau, Bahamas the son of Donna Patrice Lundy and Labon Malachi Lundy Snr. When Leon was 8, the Lundy family moved to Millar’s Heights in the Carmichael area. It became the place Leon calls home.

"During my childhood and teenage years I started to learn about men and women that made the Bahamas a better place and I was eager to become one of those persons that will make the Bahamas a better place for its citizens."

Leon Lundy is known to us as the CEO of The Lundy Foundation, but what many do not know is that this position is a result of his upbringing and background.

As the son of 2 educators, he learned the value of knowledge and growth. He pushed himself in all of his endeavors and was able to become the Financial Comptroller of the Holiday Inn Resort at the age of 19 years. He has been a part of the hospitality industry for over 22 years and has used his experience to encourage others to work hard, as he was taught.

As husband to Tamara Lundy and father of four, he guides his family while also challenging each of them to push harder towards their goals. His eldest daughter Jane was able to enroll in Broward Community College at the age of 15 years. His second daughter Lauryn is an accomplished student at Saint Augustine’s College in Nassau with a 3.79 G.P.A. And his son, the namesake, at only 2 years old is already being prepped for his own greatness. Leon has also become a co-father to his daughter, Tanai, whom he has embraced in his family.
