Education

Education and building the future is the most important

element in the community for Mr. Lundy. Over the last few years, this has been displayed through awards, scholarships, and moral support.

The Lundy S.A.C.S Award

(South & Central Andros)

was created to highlight students each year who have displayed academic excellence along with a significant contribution to the community, either in a service project, or volunteerism with a community group or activity. Students are chosen from grades 10-12 in high school. These students have demonstrated above-average achievements in academics as well as a commitment to community service.

Leon Lundy has also supported the efforts of

educators and the enormous work that

they do in preparing students for the world.

Many teachers take from their own pocket to make sure

students have the best learning experience. Knowing this Leon donated to all the schools in the South Andros and Central Andros education district. These items included TV's, PA Systems, computers, and projectors.

The Community

Leon has been proud to support the efforts of the community in many ways. Whether it is donating t-shirts for a fun run-walk, trophies for school and community events, or helping to

celebrate outstanding community leaders, he is always there!

Basketball is a popular sport in the Bahamas, but even more so in Andros!

Leon, being a huge fan of the sport himself, takes part in sponsoring and attending many of the tournaments such as The Danny Pratt and Mangrove Cay High School Basketball Tournament.
